ABOUT 7 THOUSAND JOBS WILL APPEAR IN MOSCOW WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND RECONSTRUCTION OF THE ELECTRIC DEPOT

“About 7 thousand new jobs will be created in Moscow with the construction and reconstruction of six electric depots to maintain Moscow metro trains”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a general designer and general contractor to build new lines and stations of the Moscow Metro.

“Currently, six electric depots are under construction and reconstruction in Moscow: Aminyevskoye, Nizhegorodskoye, Yuzhnoye, Salaryevo, Vladykino and Vykhino. A depot is also being designed to maintain the new Biryulyovskaya Line. The commissioning of these facilities will give the city about 7 thousand jobs”, said Andrey Bochkarev.

The Deputy Mayor noted that more than 1300 jobs would be created at the Aminyevskoye electric depot alone.

“And the Nizhegoroskoye depot, which will be housed at the former Moscow Plant for Modernization and Construction of Carriages and Cars named after Voytovich, will employ about 900 people. We will create the necessary conditions for work and good rest in each electric depot”, emphasised Andrey Bochkarev.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, recalled that electric depots were necessary for maintenance and repair of metro rolling stock, so their construction and reconstruction were carried out simultaneously with the construction and commissioning of new metro lines and stations.

“Currently, about 5,500 employees of Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies and contractors are involved in the construction of six electric depots”, said Yuri Kravtsov.

A total of 11 electric depots have been built and reconstructed in Moscow since 2011. For more than a decade this type of work has been carried out by the Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies, which celebrates its 64th anniversary on 28 October. In addition to the depot, the specialists of the holding have designed, built and commissioned over 125 km of metro, over 60 stations, about 6,000 km of roads, over 100 bridges and overflies, many engineering structures and communications, civil construction projects, including Zaryadye Park and Moscow Concert Hall Zaryadye, and Irina Viner-Usmanova Palace of Gymnastics in Luzhniki.

Mosinzhproekt GC is one of the largest engineering holdings in Russia, included in the List of backbone organisations of the Russian economy in the construction, housing and utilities sector, the leader in leading sectoral rankings and the winner of prestigious national and international awards.
