ABOUT 90 KM OF ROADS ARE TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN MOSCOW BY YEAR-END, ACCORDING TO BOCHKAREV

The pace of road construction and reconstruction in the capital will be kept this year, according to Mr. Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.

The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a general designer and general contractor for the construction of a number of the Southern Rockade and Moscow High-Speed Diameter (MSD) sections.

“The development of transport infrastructure has remained one of the priorities of our work. That is why, this year, we will not slow down the pace of road construction – we will commission over 90 kilometres of roads”, noted Mr. Andrey Bochkarev.

Deputy Mayor added that the construction of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter (MSD) continued to be the major road project of the year.

“Today, work is underway along the entire length of the future route. We are planning to fully launch the traffic on this important motorway by the end of the year”, specified Mr. Andrey Bochkarev.

According to the head of the Construction Complex, the construction work is going to be completed on the Southern Rockade by the end of the year, its construction readiness can now be estimated at 70%.

“In fact, the launch of the entire MSD and the Southern Rockade together with the operating North-Western Chord (NWCh) will form a new transport reality for the city”, emphasised Mr. Andrey Bochkarev.

Deputy Mayor added that this year’s plans also included the completion of the reconstruction of three interchanges on the Moscow Automobile Ring Road: with Lipetskaya Street and Verkhnie Polya Street, as well as with Altufievskoye highway.
