ARCHITECTURAL FINISHING AT THE TEKSTILSHCHIKI METRO STATION IS ALMOST A QUARTER COMPLETED

The floor is faced with gray granite

“At the Tekstilshchiki station of the eastern section of the Big Circle Metro Line (BCL), the architectural finishing activities are in progress in the passenger area”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.

“At the Tekstilshchiki station, the architectural finishing activities continue in Concourse No. 1, on the platforms and the bridges connecting them. The floor is faced with gray granite, the walls – with the marble panels of light-coloured hues. The activities are already completed by almost a quarter”, said Andrey Bochkarev.

The Deputy Mayor specified that overall construction completion of the Tekstilshchiki station is estimated at almost three quarters. Lately, construction of the transfer station to the same-name station on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line began.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, added that the initial finishing of the technical area of the BCL station is completed by more than 80%.

“At Tekstilshchiki, earthworks and construction of the main structures are near to completion. Cast-in-situ works are in progress in the zone of ​​concourses Nos. 1 and 2”, specified the head of Engineering Holding.

According to him, installation of the engineering equipment is also in progress, preparation for assembling the elevators is in full swing, as well as a section of three escalators in concourse No. 2.

Overall construction completion of the eastern section of the Big Metro Circle is estimated at 60%. In addition to Tekstilshchiki, it comprises the stations of Klenovy Bulvar, Nagatinsky Zaton and Pechatniki. The length of the eastern section is 11.4 km. Its opening will improve transport accessibility to a number of districts in the south-east of Moscow.

In the framework of the Interaction and Cooperation Agreement signed in October 2021, the delegation represented by Yekaterinburg Administration visited the facilities of Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies, including the BCL metro station Tekstilshchiki under construction. The administration of the capital of the Sverdlovsk region expresses interest in the approach applied to underground construction and the skill sets accumulated by Moscow’s Holding in the framework of implementation of the Moscow Metro Development Program.

Construction of the Big Circle Line is the main project of the Moscow Metro construction. Its length will exceed 70 km, and it will accommodate 31 stations, 22 of which are already open to passengers.
