In-situ concreting at the station is almost 90% completed
“At the Maryina Roshcha metro station on the north-eastern section of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro, the work on the architectural finishing of the service premises and passenger area ofthe concourse is near to completion”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.
“Architectural and finishing works in the concourse of the Maryina Roshcha station are in their active phase. Shell-and-core finishing is completed in the service premises, as well as installation of equipment and engineering systems is in progress. Completion of architectural decoration of the passenger area ofthe concourse reached 90%. In part, the granite floor slabs have been recently laid, and the hemispheres were installed, which are one of the design elements of the station”, informed Andrey Bochkarev.
According to the Deputy Mayor, installation of the double-glazed windows made of tempered safety laminated glass was completed in the concourse last autumn.
As per Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, in-situ concreting at the station was completed by almost 90%.
“Installation of internal walls and partitions is near to completion. “On the platform section of Maryina Roshcha, architectural finishing will begin following the completion of concrete laying and installation of metal structures”, specified Yuri Kravtsov.
Maryina Roshcha is a deep-laid pylon station on an island-type platform. On the basis of the new BCL station, a large transport interchange hub (TIH) will be developed: passengers will be able to transfer not only to the same-name station of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line, but also onto MCD-2.
The overall construction completion of the north-eastern section of the Big Metro Circle is 86%. In addition to Maryina Roshcha, it includes the Sokolniki and Rizhskaya stations under construction, a connecting line to the Nizhegorodskoye electric depot, as well as the already built Aviamotornaya, Lefortovo, Elektrozavodskaya stations, temporarily functioning as a part of the Nekrasovskaya metro line”, reminded Yuri Kravtsov.
Today, Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, inspected the construction progress of the Maryina Roshcha station on the BCL. “The Maryina Roshcha station is one of the most difficult ones in the north-eastern section of the Big Circle. It tops the three deepest stations in Moscow, with the longest escalator – up to 130 metres. One of the largest concourses in the Moscow Metro is built”, said Sobyanin.
It is noteworthy, that the Big Circle Line is the world’s largest metro construction project. The length of the BCL, with 31 stations and 3 electric depots, will reach 70 km, including the existing Kakhovskaya-Kashirskaya section. By the end of 2021, 22 stations were already in operation. The Circle is 90% ready, all the tunnels are driven.
