COMMUNITY OF EXPERTS, NEW EXPERT PLATFORM WITHIN POLYGON TRAINING PROGRAMME OF MOSINZHPROEKT GC

The first expert event was held for the heads of construction and installation work (CIW) to share experience within the POLYGON programme, according to Mr. Yuri Kravtsov, CEO, Mosinzhproekt JSC.

The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies, one of the major engineering holdings in Russia, has been included in the List of Backbone Organisations of the Russian Economy in the Construction and Housing and Utilities Sector.

“As part of the next stage of the POLYGON programme, the Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies has organised and carried out the new Community of Experts initiative, which was implemented through the creation of a unified platform to improve interaction between designers, contractors’ specialists, directly performing work, and materials producers.

Participants were able to exchange their knowledge on specific issues, which will later help them jointly solve professional challenges, learn from each other, find new solutions and approaches”, noted Mr. Yuri Kravtsov.

According to Mr. Grigory Mazitov, Deputy Director General for HR Policy, Mosinzhproekt JSC, this format of the Community of Experts initiative forum has a number of differences from working groups and project teams. It can exist for a long time, whereas working groups and project teams cease to exist once they have achieved their goal.

“This is a new platform for dialogue between the heads of organisations, involved in the production process of construction. This format makes it possible to share advanced experience, new technologies and best practices in the construction industry, discuss topical issues and exchange ideas on optimising processes in construction projects”, stressed Mr. Grigory Mazitov.

Mr. Vladimir Dorovskiy, Deputy Director General for Quality, Safety and Health Protection, Industrial Safety, and Environmental Protection, Mosinzhproekt JSC, specified that the main result of the work was to maintain a high standard of projects, which directly depended on the use of quality materials, in particular the procured concrete mixtures.

“There were also some discussions related to the requirements for concrete mixture and typical mistakes in winter concreting. The choice of quality and tested materials from reputable manufacturers is a prerequisite for the construction of standard-compliant monolithic structures within the scheduled period”, added Mr. Vladimir Dorovskiy.

Invited experts and specialists from the Group of Companies, who delivered speeches, took part in the forum. Mr. Oleg Timonin, Leading Engineer of the Construction Department, Mosinzhproekt Institute LLC, spoke about the technical support of concreting work in winter, in particular about the use of electrical methods for heating concrete. Mr. Yuri Shamrai, Head of the Quality Control Department for Logistics and Utilities, Mosinzhproekt JSC, explained how the control of concrete mix production plants was carried out.
Recall, previously, a championship was held for the Mosinzhproekt GC’s Construction and Installation Cup within the POLYGON project.

“POLYGON is a programme developed at Mosinzhproekt GC to train workers, engineers and technicians, and managers of contractors. The programme includes trainings, seminars, master-classes, an annual Construction and Installation Cup, seasonal work forums and other events attended by employees of the Group of Companies, subsidiaries and contractors.
