The construction workers have started excavating the pedestrian underpass connecting the even side of Dmitrovskoye highway with the southern concourse of the Yakhromskaya station of the Lyublino-Dmitrovskaya metro line, according to Mr. Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.
The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a general designer and general contractor for the construction of new lines and stations of the Moscow Metro.
“There will be two underground concourses at the Yakhromskaya station. The high level of readiness of the southern concourse enabled the construction of the pedestrian underpass, which leads to the metro entrance from the residential and administrative and business development located on the right side with respect to the centre of Dmitrovskoye highway”, informed Mr. Andrey Bochkarev.
According to Deputy Mayor, the finishing has already begun in the utility area of the southern concourse and the wall plastering is now underway. At the same time, the brick partitioning in the office premises and the ticket hall is underway.
Mr. Yuri Kravtsov, CEO, Mosinzhproekt JSC, added that once the brickwork was completed, the finishing was scheduled to begin.
“The passenger area of the concourse will be finished with triple-layered metal panels with an anti-vandal coating, and stainless steel. The inclined tunnel of the escalators will be lined with light Sayan marble”, noted the head of the engineering holding.
A total of four underpasses will lead from the Yakhromskaya station – two to each side of Dmitrovskoye highway. Similar to the southern concourse, it is also planned to construct the metro entrance from the north side, next to Yakhromsky passage.
“The in-situ concreting is underway in the northern concourse. Concrete is being poured on the technical levels where the escalator equipment will be installed, and service premises for staff will be located”, Mr. Yuri Kravtsov also said.
According to him, the underpasses are being constructed stage by stage, as soon as the concourses are ready.
In addition to the Yakhromskaya station, the Lianozovo and Fiztekh stations are being built on the extension section of the Lyublino-Dmitrovskaya metro line. The opening of the new section will improve transport services in Dmitrovsky, Vostochnoye Degunino, Beskudnikovsky and Lianozovo districts, as well as the Severny urban settlement: their residents will be able to save up to 20 minutes while travelling around the city. The extension of the light green line will also unload Dmitrovskoye highway.
