“Commissioning of the nine new stations of the Big Circle Line (BCL) and Kakhovskaya of Moscow Metro undergoing reconstruction is planned before the end of the year”, said Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, inspecting the construction of the future Novatorskaya station of the Big Circle Line. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is the managing company to construct new lines and stations of Moscow Metro.

“The Big Circle Line has already 12 stations built and launched, and by the end of this year, two-thirds of the Big Circle Line of Moscow Metro will be completed that is the highest ever level,” said Sergei Sobyanin.According to him, the commissioning of seven new stations and two under reconstruction, Varshavskaya and Kashirskaya, is planned for 2022.

Inspecting the work progress, the Mayor of Moscow mentioned that the Novatorskaya station, as well as two other stations of the Southern section of the BCL Vorontsovskaya and Zyuzino, construction of which began in 2017, have a high degree of readiness.

Currently, the finishing is carried out in the passenger and service areas at Novatorskaya. The readiness of engineering and technical works is assessed as high; equipment testing and commissioning, preparing documentation for the station’s commissioning will soon begin.

Recall that a column, double-span station with one island platform and two concourses is being built in the Obruchevsky district of Moscow at the intersection of Novatorov Street and Leninsky Prospekt.

The opening of the stations of the Southern section of the BCL will improve the transport service for 570,000 residents and those who work in the districts of Prospekt Vernadskogo, Obruchevsky, Konkovo, Cheryomushki, and Zyuzino, and will reduce the traffic on the adjacent roads by about 10-15%.
