The capital begins work on constructing Akademicheskaya and “Ulitsa Stroiteley stations on Troitskaya line, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the government of Moscow on urban policy and the construction Andrey Bochkarev. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.

“Builders came to the sites of the two stations of the central section of the Troitskaya line – Akademicheskaya and Ulitsa Stroiteley stations. The works are carried out in compliance with all safety standards and requirements, information boards have been installed. Construction sites are currently being fenced,” said Andrey Bochkarev.

According to the Deputy Mayor, the installation of the enclosing structures of the pit of the future Akademicheskaya is already underway. The readiness is estimated at 15%. In August, the active excavation will begin.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, added that constructing the pioneer trench on the Ulitsa Stroiteley station is underway. Then, they will proceed to the construction of the enclosing structures of the pit.

“All of the existing and planned works on the future stations are carried out in strict compliance with calculations made in advance to assess their impact on the surrounding buildings and greenery because we have to operate in conditions of dense urban development,” said Yuri Kravtsov.

The central section of the Troitskaya metro line stretching over 7 km from the station “Street Novatorov” to the prospective station “Sevastopolsky Prospekt” will ensure the integration of New Moscow in the transport structure of the city. The total length of the new line will be about 40 km – it will connect the urban district of Troitsk and the Moscow Central Circle. More than one million people live in the gravity zone of the new line, and several hundred thousand work or study. About 100,000 people will be able to use the new line every day.
