At the section from Novatorskaya to Bachurinskaya station
“The tunnel boring machine (TBM) ‘Daria’ completed driving of the left running tunnel between the stations of Mamyri and Bachurinskaya on the prospective Troitskaya metro line”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to build the new lines and stations of the Moscow Metro.
“Therefore, all ten tunnels at the section from Novatorskaya to Bachurinskaya, exceeding 13 km in length, are completed”, said Andrey Bochkarev.
According to the Deputy Mayor, the total of nine tunnel boring machines were used in construction of ten tunnels between the six stations at the section (Novatorskaya, Universitet Druzhby Narodov, Ulitsa Generala Tyuleneva, Tyutchevskaya, Mamyri and Bachurinskaya), in aggregate having driven around 21.5 km of the underground tracks.
“On the Troitskaya line, the TBM ‘Daria’ was employed twice, driving one of the running tunnels between Ulitsa Generala Tyuleneva and Tyutchevskaya, as well as connecting the stations of Mamyri and Bachurinskaya with the left tunnel”, specified Andrey Bochkarev.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, added that the track of the left running tunnel between the Mamyri and Bachurinskaya stations, about 2.5 km in length, was driven along Kaluzhskoye Highway passing across the area of Troitsky and Novomoskovky Districts of Moscow (TiNAO) under the residential and non-residential buildings of the new development areas of the capital city.
“The work was carried out at the depth of about 13-19 metres in the soils composed of light clays and heavy loams, with layers of gravel and crushed rock”, specified Yuri Kravtsov.
The Head of the Holding added that previously the TBM “Daria” was used to build not only the tunnels of the Troitskaya line, but also at the south-western section of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the metro, which was opened to passengers in December 2021.
“One month earlier, the TBM ‘Eugeniya’ completed driving of the adjacent right running tunnel”, reminded Yuri Kravtsov.
The Troitskaya metro line will run from MCC to the city district of Troitsk. Its length will exceed 40 km. As expected, the line will be used by somewhat 100 thousand people on a daily basis. In overall, more than 1 million people are living within the reach of the new line, with several hundred thousand more working or studying there.
