Mosinzhproekt is willing to implement Moscow transport projects

“Design and construction of new stations on eight lines of the Moscow metro is planned for 2022-2024”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is the operator of the Moscow Metro Development Programme.

“From 2022 till the end of 2024, at the expense of municipal budget, it is envisioned to design and build 58.5 km of metro lines, 25 stations, and three electric depots. Construction of the new stations is scheduled on eight metro lines, including both existing and future ones”, said Andrey Bochkarev following the Moscow City Duma session on review of a draft law “On the budget of the city of Moscow for 2022 and the planning period of 2023 and 2024”.

According to him, the top priority task for this period is construction completion of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the metro.

“Besides, it is scheduled to complete construction of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line sections from Rasskazovka to Vnukovo, as well as of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line from Seligerskaya to Fiztekh, Novomoskovskaya station of the Sokolnicheskaya line and a section of the Troitskaya line between ZIL and Kommunarka”, said Andrey Bochkarev.

The Head of Construction Complex also added that during this period it is planned to start work on extending the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line to Golyanovo district, as well as on construction of the prospective Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya and Biryulevskaya metro lines.

“The costs of this amount of work in line with the development of the Moscow metro system are included in the city’s Targeted Investment Programme for the next three years”, Bochkarev noted.

“City government approached us with a task: to complete construction of the most ambitious project of the national metro construction – the Big Circle Line of the Moscow metro – in 2022, one year ahead of the initially scheduled deadline. And the holding is willing to implement this most important transport project for the city owing to its accumulated experience and prominent skill sets of the holding’s specialists, as well as application of the most advanced design and construction techniques, inclusive of information modelling”, said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.

Over the past ten years, more than 105 kilometres of metro lines, 51 metro stations and 11 electric depots were built and commissioned in Moscow with participation of Mosinzhproekt. The Big Circle Line is a key mega project in the development of the Moscow metro. The BCL will comprise 31 stations, 12 of which are already open for passengers, and another 9 new and one reconstructed station are scheduled for commissioning by the end of 2021.
