Including the new section of the Big Circle Line with 10 stations
“Three facilities of the Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies take part in the annual competition “Best Implemented Project in Construction.” Among them are two electric depots and 10 stations of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro”, said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of the company.
Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is the operator of the Moscow Metro Development Programme. Engineering holding is one of the TOP-100 largest companies in the country, heads industry rankings in engineering, industrial and infrastructure construction, and its facilities have received a number of prestigious international and Russian awards.
“Since 2014, the facilities of Mosinzhproekt GC have participated in the “Best Implemented Project in Construction” competition and are among the winners every year. This year, three our facilities are nominated in the category “Best Implemented Project in the Metro and Railway Transport Construction.” These are the reconstructed multifunctional complex of the Sokol electric depot, the multifunctional complex of the Brateevo electric depot and the new BCL section with 10 stations from Terekhovo to Kakhovskaya”, said Yuri Kravtsov.
According to him, the BCL section with the Terekhovo, Kuntsevskaya, Davydkovo, Aminyevskaya, Michurinsky Prospekt, Prospekt Vernadskogo, Novatorskaya, Vorontsovskaya, Zyuzino stations and the reconstructed Kakhovskaya station opened to passengers in late 2021 was the largest commissioning in the history of the Moscow Metro.
“Thanks to the new BCL section, transport services for a number of districts in the northwest, west, southwest and south of the capital have been improved, relieving several metro lines, improving the environment in the city, and making travel faster and more comfortable for passengers,” specified the head of the engineering holding.
He also added that the commissioning of the reconstructed Sokol electric depot has improved the quality and reduced the time of maintenance and repair of rolling stock of the Zamoskvoretskaya Line and ensured the timely commissioning of the new BCL section.
“The uniqueness of the implementation of this project is extremely tight deadlines, working in the conditions of the existing depot in the territory with a high density of utilities”, said Yuri Kravtsov.
Konstantin Maslakov, General Director of MIPSTROI 1 (the leading construction division of Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies), noted that the multifunctional complex of the Brateevo electric depot with the latest infrastructure has been announced to participate in the competition among the facilities of the holding this year.
“On the territory of 18 hectares, there is a unique infrastructure, which allows to increase the efficiency of maintenance of electric rolling stock of the entire Moscow Metro. The complex is equipped with advanced, including innovative technological equipment, to overhaul more than 850 cars per year. In addition, the construction of the electric depot enabled to create 2,000 new jobs”, said Konstantin Maslakov.
The head of MIPSTROY 1 also emphasised that the competitive facilities of the group of companies annually become the leaders of the Muscovites’ open vote.
