Open citywide voting has started in the capital to choose winners of the competition “Best Implemented Project in Construction” based on the results of popular vote. This year, four projects of Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding have been submitted to the competition, Yuri Kravtsov, the company’s General Director, said. Voting takes place on the official website of the competition, in the Active Citizen project and at the annual exhibition of projects in the “Moscow City scale model” pavilion at VDNKh.
Mosinzhproekt, the largest engineering holding in the capital acting as the operator of the Moscow metro development programme, participates in the capital’s key road projects and the programme for the development of Moscow transport interchange hubs, and delivers landmark civil projects.
“The facilities delivered by the holding’s specialists well serve the city, many of them have become the hallmark of the capital (for example, the Zaryadye Park with a concert hall), and they have repeatedly won international and Russian competitions, including “Best Implemented Project in Construction”. The holding has been participating in this competition since 2014 and has received awards every year since then. This year, four of our projects are featured in two categories,” Yuri Kravtsov said.
For the category “Best Implemented Project for Construction of Metro and Railway Transport Facilities”, the holding has submitted:
- the section of the Big Circle Metro Line from Elektrozavodskaya to Aviamotornaya with three stations (including Lefortovo)
- the section of the Nekrasovskaya Metro Line with four stations: Nizhegorodskaya, Stakhanovskaya, Okskaya and Yugo-Vostochnaya
- a multifunctional complex of the Brateyevo depot supporting the full life cycle of metro rolling stock
For the category “Best Implemented Project for Construction of Multifunctional Shopping Centers and Complexes”, the holding has submitted:
- the project for the Nizhegorodskaya Transport Interchange Hub, the largest interchange hub not only in Moscow, but also in Europe, which links the Nizhegorodskaya station on the Big Circle and Nekrasovskaya metro lines, the same-name station on the Moscow Central Circle as well as suburban train platforms and public surface transport stops.

In total, 108 facilities commissioned in 2020 take part in this year’s competition in 11 categories.
We’ll remind that the winners of the competition “Best Implemented Project in Construction” are determined by the city commission – the competent jury of the competition. In addition, open citywide voting is held annually to choose the best project in each category, as voted by Muscovites. Anyone can cast a vote for the project they like.
Voting will last until July 24. The winners will be announced in early August, on the eve of Builder’s Day.
We note that last year awards were given to the following projects of Mosinzhproekt Holding: the Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Palace, the Rudnevo depot and the Karamyshevsky bridge being part of the North-West Chord.
The competition “Best Implemented Project in Construction” has been held in Moscow since 2000. It selects the best projects in different categories commissioned in Moscow in the previous year. The competition is designed to reward the creators of the best buildings and structures and to draw the attention of the public and professionals to the use of modern technologies in construction.
