The bridge is completed by 85%
“Glazing of the new pedestrian bridge between Rubtsovskaya and Semyonovskaya embankments along the Yauza River as part of the Elektrozavodskaya transport interchange hub (TIH) is fully completed”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor for construction of the facility, and acts as one of the operators of the programme aimed at creating TIH network in Moscow.
“Architectural decoration of the bridge is almost half-done, installation of aluminum fins is completed by a quarter, the overall completion of the facility is at 85%”, said the Deputy Mayor.
According to him, the builders have already begun installation of equipment and engineering systems: power supply, lighting, traffic control and video surveillance.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, added that two elevators are currently being installed at the site, that will provide accessibility for people with limited mobility, the work is completed by almost a quarter.
“Work is being completed to restore the embankment, and landscaping of the adjacent territory is already in progress: granite paving near the first tower of the bridge”, specified Yuri Kravtsov.
The length of the arched bridge between Rubtsovskaya and Semyonovskaya embankments will reach 111 metres, the length of the span will be 88 metres.
The Elektrozavodskaya TIH will integrate the same-name stations on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya and Big Circle (BCL) metro lines, as well as the Elektrozavodskaya platform of the Moscow Railway (MZD).
The project also involves reconstruction of the adjacent streets, arrangement of parking lots, and comprehensive landscaping of the area. In addition, an underground transfer will be built between the two existing metro stations.
