IN-SITU CONCRETE WORK AT THE PYKHTINO STATION IS 70% COMPLETE

The electric cable networks have been completely relocated

“In-situ concrete work is underway at the Pykhtino station of the new section of the Solntsevskaya line, the main structures are about 70% complete”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.

“More than two-thirds of the platform has been concreted at the Pykhtino station, and in-situ concrete work is being actively carried out in the concourse axes and the restroom for the locomotive crews. In addition, the electric cable networks have been completely relocated and the city water pipeline is being relayed”, said Andrey Bochkarev.

The Deputy Mayor added that at the other station under construction, Vnukovo, the in-situ concrete work, excavation and anchoring works are under way, and the utilities are being relayed.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, clarified that they proceeded to the construction of main structures of the tunnel ventilation system on the tunnel between the Pykhtino and Rasskazovka stations.

“In-situ concrete work is also underway on the Pykhtino-Vnukovo running tunnel. Concrete is being laid at the junction of the Pykhtino station with the metro bridge over the Likova river, as well as on the ground section of the running line: from the metro bridge to the tunnels towards the Vnukovo station”, said Yuri Kravtsov.

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, announced the start of the tunnelling of the right tunnel between the Pykhtino and Vnukovo stations on the Solntsevskaya line. “When we finish this new section of the Solntsevskaya line, the transport accessibility of the Troitsky and Novomoskovky Districts of Moscow (TiNAO) will be improved, and Vnukovo will become the first airport in Russia with its own metro station”, specified Sergei Sobyanin.
