IN-SITU CONCRETE WORK AT THE VNUKOVO STATION OF THE SOLNTSEVSKAYA LINE IS MORE THAN TWO-THIRDS COMPLETE

“The main structures of the Vnukovo station on the extension section of the Solntsevskaya metro line are more than 70% complete”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a general designer and general contractor to build new lines and stations of the Moscow Metro.

“In-situ concreting has been completed in the traction step-down substation zone and is being completed in the concourse. The main structures of the escalator inclined tunnel leading from the ticket hall to the platform are now being built”, said Andrey Bochkarev.

According to the Deputy Mayor, work is planned to start shortly to adjust the concourse of the station to the above-ground pedestrian crossing, which will lead from the metro to the entrance to Vnukovo Airport.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, said that the station waterproofing was more than 50% complete.

“Brickwork for the partition walls and finishing of the service premises, including flooring, plastering and painting of the walls, are also underway. Finishing work will be carried out in the 271 technical and service premises of the new station”, said Yuri Kravtsov.

The head of the engineering holding added that preparations were being made for the installation of utilities on the ceiling of the platform area.

Recall that commissioning of the new section of the Solntsevskaya Line will improve the transport services in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Districts (TiNAO) of Moscow, and Vnukovo will become the first airport in Russia with its own metro station. As a result of a vote on the Active Citizen project in October, Muscovites offered that the Vnukovo station under construction to be named as Vnukovo Airport.
