IN-SITU CONCRETING IS BEING COMPLETED IN THE NEW CONCOURSE OF THE AVIAMOTORNAYA STATION OF THE BIG CIRCLE LINE

“Concrete pouring is being completed in concourse No. 2 under construction of the Aviamotornaya station of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a general designer and general contractor to build new lines and stations of the Moscow Metro.

“In the second concourse, which is under construction at the Aviamotornaya BCL station and will provide passengers with access to the station from Aviamotornaya and Krasnokazarmennaya Streets, the architectural finishing is actively carried out. In the ticket hall, metal rails have been installed on the walls to mount marble slabs and aluminium panels for suspended ceiling, and the floor is fully covered with granite”, said Andrey Bochkarev.

The head of the Construction Complex said that installation of the utilities in the concourse was also underway.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, said that three escalators and a lift would be installed after the completion of in-situ concreting.

“Passengers will be able to enter the platform section of the Aviamotornaya BCL from the new concourse using the underpass under the tracks of the Kazansky suburban railway line. In-situ concreting is underway in the underpass. The work is more than two-thirds complete”, specified Yuri Kravtsov.

The head of the engineering holding added that the construction of the interchange from the Aviamotornaya BCL station to the same name station of the Kalininskaya Line is also underway. In-situ concreting and waterproofing are carried out at the interchange area.

The Aviamotornaya station, temporarily operating as part of the Nekrasovskaya Line, is part of the north-eastern BCL section. The construction of the Big Circle Line is the main project of the Moscow Metro construction. Its length will exceed 70 km, and it will accommodate 31 stations, 22 of which are already servicing the passengers.
