IN-SITU CONCRETING OF THE INTERCHANGE FROM THE PECHATNIKI BCL STATION TO THE LIGHT GREEN LINE IS COMPLETE

“The main structures of the interchange between the Pechatniki stations of the Big Circle Line (BCL) and the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line (LDL) of the Moscow Metro have been completed in full”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a designer and general contractor to construct new stations of the Moscow metro.

“The builders have completed cast-in-situ structures of the interchange hub that will connect the Pechatniki stations of the Big Circle Line and the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. The metal structures of the interchange are completely assembled and the roofing is being completed. The installation of the utilities and equipment is in an active phase”, informed Andrey Bochkarev.

The Deputy Mayor added that the developing Pechatniki transport interchange hub will be one of the largest in the south-east of the capital. It will integrate the same name stations on the Big Circle and the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line, MCD 2, and ground transport routes.

According to Konstantin Maslakov, General Director of MIPSTROY 1 (being part of the Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies), it will be possible to transfer from the Pechatniki station of the Big Circle Line through concourse 1.

“Five escalators have been installed to lift passengers from the platform part of the station complex to the level of the interchange concourse. The lifting equipment has been placed in its permanent position and is being connected to the power supply for further commissioning”, said Konstantin Maslakov.

The head of MIPSTROY 1 added that the architectural and finishing work in the interchange zone is being completed.

“Interior finishing of the concourse and pedestrian gallery that will link these two stations is underway: stained-glass aluminium panels have been installed on the walls, architectural elements and lighting of the ceiling zone are being installed. We are completing the granite cladding of the floor and stair descent on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line. In parallel, the facade of the concourse is being decorated”, said Konstantin Maslakov.

The eastern section of the BCL includes four stations: Klenovy Bulvar, Nagatinsky Zaton, Pechatniki and Tekstilshchiki. The eastern section is 11 km long. Its opening will improve the transport accessibility for a number of districts in the south-east of Moscow.

Creation of the Big Circle Line is the principal project of the Moscow Metro construction. Its length will exceed 70 km, and it will accommodate 31 stations, 22 of which are already open to passengers. The Big Circle Line will link the existing and prospective lines of the Moscow Metro.
