Ceiling light fixtures are being installed on the platform
“Ceiling light fixtures are being installed on the platform, bridge crossings and the concourse of the Tekstilshchiki station on the eastern section of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.
“Indirect ceiling light is an essential part of the lighting system of the platform at the Tekstilshchiki station. The light fixtures will be mounted on a suspended panel structure. The light will be reflected from the ceiling placed above the second level and fall on the platform through the openings”, informed Andrey Bochkarev.
The head of the Construction Complex specified that the Tekstilshchiki station is 85% complete.
“Alongside architectural finishing, the installation of internal utilities is underway at the station. It is already over 50% complete. The construction of the interior walls and partitions is being completed”, added Andrey Bochkarev.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, noted that the lighting system for the new station of the Big Circle Line includes an architectural lighting of the track walls made of marble panels. 470 light fixtures made in Russia will be installed in total. It is scheduled to start the installation at the end of the month.
“Architectural and finishing work is underway at the station. Cladding of the walls with marble is more than half complete. Granite laying of the floor is 70% complete. The platforms, bridge crossings between them, and Concourse 1 are almost entirely decorated with these materials”, added Yuri Kravtsov.
According to the head of the engineering holding, the construction of the main structures of Concourse 2 is underway, and preparations to start finishing work are also underway here.
The eastern section of the Big Circle Line of the metro, in addition to Tekstilshchi, comprises the stations of Klenovy Bulvar, Nagatinsky Zaton, and Pechatniki. The eastern section is 11 km long. Its opening will improve the transport accessibility for a number of districts in the south-east of Moscow.
Creation of the Big Circle Line is the principal project of the Moscow Metro construction. Its length will exceed 70 km, and it will accommodate 31 stations, 22 of which are already open to passengers.
Today, Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, has inspected the construction progress of the Tekstilshchiki station on the Big Circle Line.
“The BCL continues to be actively constructed. The eastern section of the Big Circle Line includes four stations. It is 77% complete and there is no doubt that it will be commissioned in 2023 as scheduled”, said Sergei Sobyanin.
