It is assumed that three or four floors of the monolithic structures of the tower part of the National Space Center (NSC) will be constructed per month, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a managing company for constructional engineering projects.
“At the construction site of the National Space Center, the installation of mechanical structures of a self-climbing forms system for the construction of a high-rise landmark structure, a 288-meter tower has begun”, noted Andrey Bochkarev.
According to him, the installation of the supporting part of the formwork is carried out at the level of the ground floor of the tower, at the same time the construction of its monolithic structures is nearly completed.
“The applied method of construction of a high-rise building with the help of this system will allow performing work rapidly and safely. It is planned to build monolithic structures of the tower at a rate of three to four floors per month”, explained the deputy mayor.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, specified that the use of this technology involves placing all the equipment necessary for the round-the-clock implementation of concrete works on a single platform, while the safety of work at height is ensured by installation of protective screens of the fence.
“By pressing one button, the powerful hydraulic units move the formwork platform to the next floor level, including concrete distribution booms, using which the concrete mixture is laid into the body of the structure, in just one cycle without the help of a tower crane. This process not only significantly accelerates the pace of work, but also allows eliminating the gaps between the scaffolding (special flooring that serves as a support during construction work)”, said the head of the holding.
Also, according to him, the monolith of the low-rise (up to 10 floors) part of the NSC is ready by more than 90%, the installation of metal floors in the gallery area of the future space center at 80%.
As a reminder, after completing all the work the NSC is expected to bring together leading organisations of the rocket and space industry: the central office and the situational centre of the Roscosmos State Corporation, the headquarters of several organisations of the rocket and space industry, industry institutes, youth design bureaus, the business support centre, the production diversification centre, and other facilities.
