The work has started on the launching of the metal flyover exit span from the inside of the Moscow Automobile Ring Road to the Moscow High-Speed Diameter (MSD), which forms one of the southern sections of the MSD from the Moscow Automobile Ring Road to Solntsevo-Butovo-Varshavskoye highway, according to Mr. Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.
The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a general contractor and general designer of a number of sections of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter.
“52 metres of the 269-metre span have been launched, and the work has started on the inside of the Moscow Automobile Ring Road. The total length of the flyover is 628.5 metres”, said Mr. Andrey Bochkarev.
According to Deputy Mayor, three more flyovers are being constructed on the section from the Moscow Automobile Ring Road to the Solntsevo-Butovo-Varshavskoye highway automobile road.
Mr. Yuri Kravtsov, CEO, Mosinzhproekt JSC, added that the work was nearing completion on the 34.9-metre long flyover of the main MSD course through the projected driveway to the Yuzhnaya Bitza housing estate.
“Over 353 metres of exit ramp from the MSD to Simferopolskoye highway and a flyover of about 508 metres over Varshavskoye highway and the Moscow railway Kursk direction, through which MCD-2 passes, are also under construction”, noted Mr. Yuri Kravtsov.
The head of the holding specified that seven engineering structures were being constructed on the section of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter from the Moscow Automobile Ring Road to Solntsevo-Butovo-Varshavskoye highway automobile road. In addition to the four flyovers, a bridge over the Bitsa River and two tunnels are being built: under the 32nd kilometre of the Moscow Automobile Ring Road and under Simferopolskoye highway.
The Moscow High-Speed Diameter will improve transport services for 48 districts with over 5 million citizens.
