The hybrid format of the X Moscow Urban Forum (MUF) made it possible for 100 thousand spectators from 75 countries across the globe to watch the broadcasting of the events on an online platform, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding has been the participant of the Moscow Urban Forum as an Exclusive Partner since 2014.
“This year the Moscow Urban Forum was held for the tenth anniversary time. It was the first time when the events were held in a hybrid format. The number of participants on site was limited, but the event was broadcast via an online platform – this allowed for broadening of the forum’s audience. As a result, 100 thousand spectators from 75 countries watched our broadcasts”, noted Andrey Bochkarev.
The geography of broadcasts views was increased by six countries in such a way, the total of one hundred events in seven halls of Moscow concert hall “Zaryadye” and in two online halls were held within the framework of its business program, said Andrey Bochkarev.
Moreover, more than 15 thousand people visited the forum exhibition space in-person and online, which consisted of six large booths of key Moscow development directions and 11 partner booths, – two video streaming broadcast channels were provided to show the exposition on MUF web-site.
“About 1.3 thousand people visited the exhibition at the forum site, and more than 14 thousand people viewed it via broadcast channels”, clarified Deputy Mayor.
The results of X Moscow Urban Forum were summed up today at the meeting of the Moscow Government Presidium under the auspices of Sergei Sobyanin. It was noted in particular, that in the context of coronavirus disease, the forum was held in a mixed format, connecting the speakers via video conferencing, which made it possible to involve a record number of experts in the entire MUF history – 480 speakers participated in the discussions, which is 1.6 as many as in 2019.
Let us remind that Mosinzhproekt presented on holding’s booth a project for the construction of the National Space Center, Moscow flagship project. The holding representatives also actively participated in MUF-2021 business program, talking about the current projects of the engineering holding and the long-term plans.
Moscow Urban Forum is a leading congress in the field of urban development, economics and architecture, which has been held in the Russian capital annually since 2011. It brings together prominent statespersons, urbanists, architects and designers, experts and entrepreneurs, who have the opportunity to exchange experience and gain new professional knowledge. MUF 2021 was named “Superstar Cities. Transforming For Success.” It gave the floor for discussing current global challenges faced by megacities, urban transformation projects and cases that proved to be successful for the past 10 years around the world, as well as for forecasting new challenges and projects of the future.
