MOSINZHPROEKT AND HUAWEI AGREE ON TECHNOLOGICAL COOPERATION

The document covers such areas as use of Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, cloud technology, Internet of Things, and neural networks

“Mosinzhproekt and Huawei Russia, a member of the global consortium Huawei Technologies, signed an agreement on cooperation in digitalization technologies of the construction industry”, said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is an operator and participant in implementing key urban development programs of the Russian capital.

“The signed agreement with one of the leaders in the international market of digital technologies and communications implies a full-scale cooperation in these areas to solve the challenges of the construction complex in Moscow,” said Yuri Kravtsov.

According to him, the document covers such areas as use of Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, cloud technology, Internet of Things (data networking between devices), and neural networks to improve the efficiency of construction and operation of urban real estate facilities, surrounding areas, and infrastructure.

“In particular, according to the agreement reached, it is planned to jointly develop solutions by Mosinzhproekt and Huawei to develop modern information and communication infrastructure, high-performance computing platforms and data storage systems, which will contribute to more efficient implementation of the construction program of the entire city,” Yuri Kravtsov emphasized.

He explained that the holding’s employees gained a lot of experience during the construction of infrastructure and landmark urban development projects of the capital, so designed solutions, for example, to ensure the safety of construction sites or cloud data storages, will be created considering the specifics of Moscow construction sites and can be universally used in the construction in the city.

Another area of promising cooperation is the joint development of information infrastructure for the implementation of end-to-end BIM-technology solutions, which is the next step in the implementation of digital technologies to manage the capital construction object lifeline in the holding.

“Today Mosinzhproekt is one of the largest engineering companies in Russia. So we have to be at the forefront of changes and technological transformations, corresponding to the spirit of the times, apply the latest technologies in our work and propose our own solutions for industry development, and the signed agreement is a significant step towards this direction,” concluded Yuri Kravtsov.

Earlier, Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction, indicated that using information technology in construction can significantly reduce design and new urban facilities commissioning times.
