MOSINZHPROEKT COMPLETES DESIGN OF THE SKI HILL IN THE “ATTRACTION” PUBLIC SPACE IN MAGNITOGORSK

It will feature all-season skiing and tubing slopes

“The preparation of documentation for the second phase of the ‘Attraction’ project in Magnitogorsk is underway”, said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.

The design institute, part of the Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies, is the general designer of the “Attraction” public space.

“The 40-metre-high artificial hill will be placed on an area of 15 hectares. It will feature all-season skiing and tubing slopes, mountain biking trails, a zipline, as well as auxiliary facilities and systems”, specified Yuri Kravtsov.

According to him, a large range of work is being carried out to create a two-level artificial lake with a cascade, a scenic pedestrian bridge, as well as a landscaping project for the surrounding area, including the beach and picnic areas. This part of the “Attraction” space covers an area of 14 hectares.

“In addition, design packages have been prepared for the fitness centre with a swimming pool and the children’s indoor theme park. They are now awaiting validation”, said the head of the Engineering Holding.

Rustam Cherkesov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt Institute LLC, added that documentation of the second stage of the “Attraction” project was being agreed with the customer, and work on the first stage facilities had been completed.

“The construction of the information centre and the food mall is underway according to the prepared design documentation: the buildings in-situ concreting is ready, the stained-glass windows and utilities are being installed”, informed Rustam Cherkesov.

According to him, the design package for the central entrance space of the pedestrian boulevard with fountain and light installation, roller park, playground, rental pavilion and 24 hectares of the parkland is also ready.

Recall, the “Attraction” project is being created in Magnitogorsk on a request of a private investor. According to the concept, a landscaped park zone, a sports cluster, water facilities, elements of artificial terrain with a ski slope, a hotel complex and others will be created on an area of 220 hectares.
