The Construction Site playground created by Mosinzhproekt Holding has started operating on the territory of the Family Entertainment Center Kidzania located in the Aviapark shopping centre in Moscow. The opening was dedicated to the World Children’s Day.
The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is one of the major engineering holdings in Russia, the operator of key urban planning programmes in Moscow. It is included in the List of Backbone Organisations of the Russian Economy in the Construction and Housing and Utilities Sector.
“A great deal of emphasis is placed on the succession of generations in Mosinzhproekt’s work. We believe it is important to promote construction professions among young children as well. That’s what the Construction Site playground should be for, enabling to learn a lot of important things about our work in a playful way”, noted Mr. Yuri Kravtsov, CEO, Mosinzhproekt JSC.
A variety of play activities in a three-level play area measuring around 90 square metres will help children to immerse themselves in the construction worker profession. The Work at Height activity, for example, leads young construction workers through a rope park filled with obstructions, nets, suspension bridges, and ropes. And the youngest visitors to the Construction Site can take part in laying a ‘brick wall’ out of a special, safe material.
Before performing the activities, children are being clothed in waistcoats and helmets fashioned in the corporate colours of Mosinzhproekt’s uniform. They have occupational safety briefings.
“It is critical that the children learn the fundamentals of how to behave on a real construction site. Our playground helps to develop qualities such as discipline and responsibility. And not just for yourself, but for the whole team”, emphasised Mr. Vladimir Dorovskiy, Deputy Director General for Quality, Safety and Health Protection, Industrial Safety, and Environmental Protection at Mosinzhproekt JSC.
The activities assigned to them will aid in the development of their erudition, creative thinking, coordination, and fine motor skills.
“The Construction Site playground is a new learning project for very young children. Once interested, children may decide to devote themselves specifically to building in the future. The doors of Mosinzhproekt will be opened for them”, added Mr. Grigory Mazitov, Deputy Director General for HR policy, Mosinzhproekt JSC, specifying that the company implements a large number of educational projects of different directions.
Kidzania is a network of educational amusement parks for children. The activities available allow kids to learn about over 100 professions in a fun way and try out different careers.
In 2023, Mosinzhproekt GC celebrates its 65th anniversary. Over the years, specialists of the engineering holding have participated in the creation of over 6,000 km of highways, over 100 bridges and flyovers. With the participation of Mosinzhproekt, more than 152 km of lines and 70 new metro stations have been commissioned in 12 years, and 11 electric depots have been constructed and reconstructed. A number of significant civil engineering projects have also been completed.
