The Design Institute of Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding became the general designer of the Attraction Park being created in Magnitogorsk on order from a private investor, Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt, reported at the 10th Moscow Urban Forum. Mosinzhproekt is the leading operator of Moscow’s key urban development programmes, the managing company for the construction of a number of landmark projects in the capital – the Luzhniki Big Sports Arena, Zaryadye Park with a concert hall, Gymnastics Palace, and acts as the Exclusive Partner of MUF 2021.

“Mosinzhproekt Institute, which is a part of the engineering holding, became the general designer of the Attraction Project being implemented in Magnitogorsk as a result of competitive procedures. This is an evidence of the company’s high competitiveness not only in the capital, but also in the Russian industry market,” Yuri Kravtsov noted.

According to him, this is one of the most ambitious urban development projects in modern Russia. Pursuant to the concept, a landscaped park area, a sports cluster including ice and freestyle arenas, water bodies with an area of 10 hectares, artificial relief elements with a ski slope, and a hotel complex will be created on an area of 220 hectares in five years.

“The project is implemented on order from a private investor. Past experience of such cooperation brought an international “Architectural Oscar” to the holding for the Palace of Gymnastics in the capital’s Luzhniki. In addition, the holding has unique experience in creating Zaryadye Park, which also earned a high award at MIPIM Awards,” Yuri Kravtsov noted and stressed that worldwide recognition by the professional community confirms the high-quality work of the holding’s specialists and that they are ready to implement new mega projects, both at the design stage and the construction stage.

In his turn, Rustam Cherkesov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt Institute, noted that the Attraction Project was designed to create a comfortable public space for all residents and guests of Magnitogorsk. The initiator and investor of the project is Viktor Rashnikov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works.

“Our team has enough unique experience and competencies gained in implementing large-scale projects in Moscow to apply them in other projects in Russian cities and abroad,” Rustam Cherkesov concluded.
