The holding’s goal is the use of BIM at all stages of facility creation
Mosinzhproekt continues the development of the BIM Competence Center and implements holding’s projects using the methods of information modeling based on world’s best practice. This was stated by Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC during “100+ TechnoBuild 2021” International Forum held in Yekaterinburg.
“Due to the obligatory transit of governmental customers to the formation and maintenance of information models since 2022, Mosinzhproekt holding formed its own BIM Competence Center to implement and apply the advanced method in the infrastructure and civil engineering. Now we use the information modeling, technology based on the latest international standards and develop an adapted methodology on its basis for use in Russia. Practical appraisal of this method is underway now within the framework of Krasny Stroitel electric depot development, at Moscow Metro prospective lines stations and in other projects”, – said Yuri Kravtsov.
The Director General emphasized that one of the holding’s immediate goals in the field of digital technologies is the use of BIM at all stages of facility creation and operation – design, construction and operation.
Experts from the Competence Center have recently participated in a meeting on the formation of a National Library of Information Models Components. The issue of creation of a single digital information models resource was discussed under the auspices of Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences. The formation of such a library will have a positive impact on the speed of projects implementation.
Within the framework of “100+ TechnoBuild 2021” in Yekaterinburg, at the site of the “Russian Forum of BIN Technologies”, the Mosinzhproekt experts spoke about the work in the sphere of information modeling through the example of design and construction of transport facilities.
As was noted by Valery Kivlyuk, Executive Director, Head of the Metro Construction Division of Mosinzhproekt JSC, BIM technologies significantly reduce work time periods, reduce cost of construction, eliminate mistakes, which is beneficial for both the contractor and the customer.
“Our experience in implementation of information modeling technologies when creating large facilities in Moscow can change the mind of any sceptic. For example, today we already implement BIM in the construction of metro stations which are to be put into operation in the nearest future”, – said Valery Kivlyuk.
According to him, the creation of a digital model allows for a significant reduction of costs for elimination of collisions at any stage of construction. For example, station complex engineering systems layout model made it possible to bond more than 50 engineering systems and dozens of thousands of equipment items within a short time.
Mosinzhproekt is a leading operator of the key urban planning programs of Moscow, a managing company for the construction of a number of key facilities in the capital. The holding not only elaborates issues related directly to the construction and engineering industry, but is also engaged in the projects for improving the efficiency of the construction sector in the capital in general.
