Activities of the holding are inextricably linked with the history of Moscow urban development
The largest engineering holding in Moscow celebrates its 63rd anniversary. All these years the activities of Mosinzhproekt have been inextricably linked with the history of urban development of the capital city.
From the date of its foundation on 28 October 1958, the Institute has been involved into integrated design in line with development of engineering structures and underground utilities, which enabled the power, heat and gas supply to the new districts of Moscow. Its specialists have greatly contributed to development of the city road network: during 63 years, with their participation, more than 6,000 km of highways, over 100 bridges and overpasses, and more than 300 underground and elevated pedestrian crossings were built in the city.
Since 2011, Mosinzhproekt takes part in implementation and operation of the key urban planning programmes in Moscow. Extension of the Moscow metro became one of the most significant projects for the company: over the past decade, owing to the efforts of the holding’s specialists, more than 105 km of lines, 51 stations and 11 electric depots were built here. Today, the Big Circle Line project of the underground railway is being implemented, to become the longest metro circle in the world. Besides, the work continues on the entirely new Troitskaya, Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya and Biryulyovskaya metro lines, as well as on road construction and development of the city transport hub system.
The buildings and structures designed and built by Mosinzhproekt shape the current look of Moscow. Among the top-of-the-line projects associated with the holding are the reconstructed Helikon-Opera Theater and Luzhniki Big Sports Arena, Zaryadye Park with its multifunctional concert complex, Irina Viner-Usmanova Palace of Gymnastics, and Voronovskoe Infectious Diseases Hospital. Many of them were rewarded with acclaimed international awards, including the world’s foremost sector-specific one, the MIPIM Awards.
Much attention at Mosinzhproekt is drawn today to the matters related to efficiency enhancement of the construction sector in the capital city taken on the whole. Many years of experience of the holding’s specialists and their expertise in application of innovative technologies are in demand at the regional and international levels.
When implementing their activities, the specialists of the company group consistently comply with the highest international requirements in the field of quality, labor protection, industrial safety, and environmental protection. This was confirmed following the successful completion of Lloyd’s Register quality assurance audit.
Nowadays, Mosinzhproekt undoubtedly leads the construction market in the capital city, and is one of the largest engineering holdings in Russia. The Company group includes several dozens of construction and design bureaus, and more than 16,000 highly qualified specialists. As per the international rating of ENR’s 2021 Top 250 Global Contractors, Mosinzhproekt took the 114th place among 250 world largest construction companies.
