MOSINZHPROEKT IS A WINNER OF THE RUSSIAN TUNNELLING ASSOCIATION COMPETITIONS

It’s a prestigious engineering award

“The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies and the holding’s employees have been recognised to be the winners of two professional competitions organised by the Russian Tunnelling Association (RTA)”, said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.

Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is the operator of the Moscow Metro Development Programme.

Mosinzhproekt JSC won “The best use of advanced technologies in tunnel and underground construction” competition in the nomination “Safety in the Construction and Operation of Underground Structures”.

“The award was given for implementing a system of interactive control of technological parameters of tunneling of the double-track running tunnel of the Big Circle Line under the operating Pechatniki station of the Moscow Metro”, said Yuri Kravtsov.

Also, Mosinzhproekt Institute, a design division of the holding, was awarded for developing math modelling for tunnelling and calculating a parameter that affects depression of the earth’s surface in the 2021 competition in the nomination “Technology in Tunneling and Underground Construction by cut and cover method”.

The competition is held each year by the Russian Tunnelling Association and involves around 25 relevant organisations from various parts of the country, as well as a number of foreign companies. At the same time, RTA selects the best industry experts in a number of nominations as part of the annual S.N. Vlasov Competition “Engineer of the Year of the Russian Tunnelling Assosiation”.

“The Association awarded not only the Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies, but also gave an honorable mention to the holding’s experts directly working with complex underground facilities in the ‘Engineer of the Year of the Russian Tunnelling Assosiation’ competition”, added Yuri Kravtsov.

“Nikolai Ostrovskiy, Head of the Mechanised Tunnelling and Special Work Department of Mosinzhproekt JSC, became the “Engineer of the Year in Metro Construction in the Russian Federation”, while Denis Zubarev, Head of the Depot Facilities and Transport Interchange Hub Engineering Department of Mosinzhproekt JSC, and Yuri Siguta, Head of the Geotechnics and Math Modelling Department, were awarded the title of the “Engineer of the Year in Design and Engineering Works”. Anton Tikhonov, Chief Engineer of Mosinzhproekt Institute LLC, was also among the winners in the nomination for young (under 30 years old) engineering personnel in the industry.

In addition, earlier it was reported that Konstantin Maslakov, General Director of MIP-Stroy 1 LLC, was awarded the title “Engineer of the Year in Metro Construction in the Russian Federation”, and Alexey Nadyrshin, First Deputy General Director on Production and Construction of MIP-Stroy 1 LLC, became the “Engineer of the Year in the Urban and Mountain Road and Railway Tunnel Construction”.

Russian Tunnelling Association (RTA) is the Russian public organization operating in territory of the Russian Federation and CIS countries. RTA unites more than 80 organizations on the design, construction and operation of underground structures.
