MOSINZHPROEKT IS INCLUDED IN THE LIST OF BACKBONE ORGANISATIONS OF THE RUSSIAN ECONOMY

The List includes about 20 companies of Moscow construction sector

“About 20 major companies operating in the construction industry in Moscow have been included in the List of backbone organisations of the Russian economy in the construction and housing and utilities sector prepared by the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation. The relevant document was published on the official website of the department”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

“A List of 63 backbone enterprises in the construction and housing and utilities sector has been approved. They will receive additional incentives to operate through a range of government support measures. The List includes about 20 companies operating in the construction sector in Moscow. They are the ones who must be the basis for industry’s development in the complicated economic conditions”, informed Andrey Bochkarev.

The Deputy Mayor added that, among others, the List includes Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies, the operator of several key urban planning programmes in Moscow. The experts of the Engineering Holding have been successfully solving large-scale urban development goals for many years. For example, the National Space Centre is being created jointly with the Moscow City Government and the Roscosmos State Corporation, on behalf of the President of Russia.

“The company’s major projects include the construction of new lines and stations of the Moscow metro, including the megaproject, the Big Circle Line, as well as new highways”, said Andrey Bochkarev.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, specified that over the past 10 years of Moscow’s modern history, the company has implemented many of the capital’s iconic projects and has risen from a municipal design institute to become one of the largest federal construction contractors.

“Currently, the Group of companies continues to design and build engineering structures, transport and civil facilities, develops new directions of business in Moscow and other regions, and provides employment for a huge number of construction industry experts: over 16 thousand people work in the structural divisions and subsidiaries of Mosinzhproekt”, said Yuri Kravtsov.

The General Director recalled that the company also acts as the territorial development operator for a number of large urban development projects in Moscow and offers complex territory development and integration services in a turnkey city format into the existing urban environment to the Russian regions.

Such work is already underway in Yekaterinburg, where Mosinzhproekt is taking part in the integrated development of large-scale urban development projects in the agglomeration, including the transport network, under the agreement signed in October 2021.

In addition, the holding’s design institute is the general designer of the “Attraction” public space in Magnitogorsk.

Recall that the list of backbone organisations of the Russian economy includes organisations considering affiliations within their group (holding) structure. Organisations are included based on sectoral indicators as proposed by the federal executive bodies responsible for the formulation of government policy in the relevant sectors, as well as state corporations. The indicators are calculated for a group of companies. The criterion to include an organisation in the list is the exceeded minimum values of the sectoral indicators defined separately for each sector.
