At the ARCH MOSCOW International Exhibition
“Representatives of the Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies shared their experience in implementing major urban planning projects in the “turnkey city” format at the 27th International Exhibition of Architecture and Design ARCH MOSCOW”, said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.
The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies acts as the area development operator for a number of major urban development projects (MUDP) in Moscow.
“The holding has extensive experience in implementing projects to integrate developing areas into an already functioning urban environment. Our expertise is in demand in the Russian regions. The creation of modern engineering and transport infrastructure is an integral part of every implemented MUDP. “Mosinzhproekt, as the operator of Moscow MUDPs and operating in a “one stop shop”, uses a comprehensive approach, including the modernisation of utilities, road network, the development of underground and above-ground rail transport, and linking transport and interchange hubs. An important step is also the placement of main business activity centres, considering the distribution of passenger flows”, said Yuri Kravtsov.
He specified that this approach is now being applied to develop a roadmap for Yekaterinburg metropolitan area. The work is being carried out within the framework of the Interaction and Cooperation Agreement signed in October 2021 between the Group of companies and the city administration.
“Having a single operator facilitates the successful implementation of even the most challenging spatial development project, such as a new transport system linking the centre to the peripheral regions. The operator of MUDPs interacts with the authorities and supervisory agencies and supervises all approval and planning procedures. Also, among its most important functions is to attract private, regional and federal funding”, added Yuri Kravtsov.
He recalled that, as the operator of MUDPs, Mosinzhproekt also coordinates the activities of all parties involved in the territory development, optimises the timing of design and construction of facilities, and implements measures to optimise the budget for the projects to be implemented by public customers.
The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies acts as an operator for a number of major urban planning projects in Moscow, such as the Mnyovnikovskaya floodplain, the vacated territory of M.V. Khrunichev Space Center, as well as the Kommunarka ABC in New Moscow. The total area of the facilities scheduled for construction exceeds 12 million square metres.
ARCH MOSCOW is the largest meeting place for industry experts, architects and designers, clients and investors of new projects, and a territory for presenting new materials and technologies. Previously, Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction, said that the Russian architects would discuss current and potential work directions at the ARCH MOSCOW exhibition.
“ARCH MOSCOW remains a significant event with a wide geography, with representatives of the authorities, architectural studios, design studios, educational institutions, developers and material manufacturers taking part in the exhibition every year. More than 200 companies-participants are involved in this year’s exhibition. The exhibition continues to serve as a benchmark for industry experts and architecture enthusiasts”, said Andrey Bochkarev in his welcoming greeting.
