The holding established its own BIM Competence Center
“Project Institute of Mosinzhproekt Holding was repeatedly acknowledged the BIM Company of the Year during the session of BIM Leaders Club founded by the engineering design software developer,” said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.

Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies applies BIM in creation of transport infrastructure and civil engineering facilities, own solutions are being tested and applied, with the on-going digitisation at all stages of implementation of the projects”, specified Yuri Kravtsov.
He clarified that Mosinzhproekt JSC created its in-house BIM Competence Center. The Holding’s specialists, who graduated from it, are testing a new information modelling methodology in the course of implementation of a pilot project at the Krasny Stroitel electric depot under construction on the prospective Biryulyovskaya metro line.
“The to-be-built Biryulyovskaya and Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya lines will be the largest metro facilities in Russia developed through the application of BIM. Besides, the digital solution is implemented in construction of a bridge across the Pekhorka River in the framework of the adjacent road network for the purposes of integration with Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod – Kazan Express Highway, specified the Head of the Engineering Holding.
Rustam Cherkesov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt Institute LLC, reminded that apart from creating the facilities in the capital city, the Holding’s designers use their expertise in applying BIM technologies in implementation of a major regional project.
“Acting as a general designer, the Institute takes part in creation of the public space ‘Prityazheniye’ (Attraction) in Magnitogorsk. The documentation for the second-stage facilities is already being produced. BIM makes it possible to significantly improve its quality and avoid possible conflicts, for instance, when designing the engineering systems”, specified Rustam Cherkesov.
For the first time ever, Mosinzhproekt Holding used the information modelling technologies in the course of the Luzhniki stadium reconstruction. Besides, the design project for the Irina Viner-Usmanova Palace of Gymnastics was elaborated, as well as the National Space Center is currently being built through the application of BIM. Using the elements of information modelling at the stations of Terekhovo, Kuntsevskaya and Davydkovo of the Big Circle Metro Line (BCL), the routes for the engineering utilities and cable lines were simulated.
It is noteworthy, that the BIM Leaders Club is a community of professionals and experts in the field of digital construction and digital modelling technologies. The companies that have achieved outstanding results in digital technology application and possess unique experience of using it to create complex and unique projects are awarded the status of the BIM Leader. The annual BIM Leader award is assigned by the jury panel composed of independent market experts and representatives of the parent company.
