The awards were presented at the science and technology conference
“Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is among the winners in the category “Safety in the Construction and Operation of Underground Structures” in the competition for the best application of cutting-edge technologies in construction of tunnels and underground structures of the Russian Tunnelling Association (RTA)”, said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.
Mosinzhproekt GC is one of the major engineering holdings in Russia, the participant in the implementation of the principal urban planning programmes in Moscow. In 2022, the holding was included in the List of backbone organisations of the Russian economy in the construction, housing and utilities sector.
“The Group of Companies regularly participates in the Russian Tunnelling Association’s competitions. The award is now given for the implementation of labour and industrial safety management system. This system is recognised as the most advanced and innovative way to ensure safety on construction sites”, says Yuri Kravtsov.
According to him, the Russian Tunnelling Association holds competitions twice a year: in spring, for the best specialist in underground construction, and in autumn, for the application of modern innovative technologies and methods of work performance in underground construction.
The awards ceremony took place during the science and technology conference Underground Space Development in Metrapolitan Areas and Transport Tunnels 2022. The conference was addressed by Dmitry Gerasimov, Chief Specialist of the Mechanised Tunnelling and Special Work Department of Mosinzhproekt JSC, Olga Gerasimova, Engineer of the Scientific and Technical Support of Construction Department, and Alexander Tkachenko, Chief Specialist of the Construction Management Department of the Department on Metro Engineering Design of Mosinzhproekt Institute LLC (the head design organisation of the Group of Companies).
The presentations introduced new ways to reduce the cost of excavation and methods that help speed up tunnelling.
According to Dmitry Konyukhov, Head of the Scientific and Technical Support of Construction Department of Mosinzhproekt JSC, the conference brings together the country’s leading specialists in the sphere of underground construction and enables them to exchange experience, opinions and their best practices.
“By participating in the Russian Tunnelling Association conference, Mosinzhproekt GC is always up to date with all current trends in underground construction. This enables to introduce the latest technologies, construction methods and materials”, said Dmitry Konyukhov.
Russian Tunnelling Association (RTA) is the Russian public organization operating in territory of the Russian Federation and CIS countries. RTA unites organizations on the design, construction and operation of underground structures.
