NINTH SECTION OF THE SOUTH-EASTERN CHORD IS 35% READY

This motorway section includes 10 kilometers of roads

“Readiness of the ninth section of the South-Eastern Chord (SEC) from the tracks of Paveletsky direction of Moscow Railway (MZD) to the Moscow Automobile Ring Road (MKAD) is estimated at 35%”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding acts as a general contractor and general designer of several sections of the South-East Chord.

Within the framework of construction of this motorway section, it is expected to built more than 10 km of roads, inclusive of a network adjacent to the main course of SEC, as well as a number of engineering structures”, Bochkarev said.

He specified that a flyover of the main road route of about 1.2 km long is currently under construction; it will pass over the tracks of the second route of the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD-2).

“16 out of 18 flyover supports are already constructed along the main road route, with spans being mounted. Supports and spans of the flyover ramps are built, the bridge deck is under construction”, specified the Head of Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, added that another flyover of the main road route is being built in the area adjacent to Krasny Stroitel station on MCD-2.

“Construction of all five pillars of the structure is completed”, said Yuri Kravtsov.

It was reported earlier, that construction of a tunnel-type over-crossing under the tracks of Paveletsky direction began at the ninth section of SEC. The work is being performed without suspension of train service, particularly of Aeroexpress trains to Domodedovo airport.
