74% of the metalwork has been installed
“The main structures of the National Space Center (NSC) are more than 80% complete”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a managing company for constructing of the object.
“The National Space Centre is a project of federal significance, and construction of this facility, crucial for the country’s space industry, is being actively pursued. The main structures of the NSC building complex are about 82% complete. 142 thousand cubic metres of concrete have been poured”, said Andrey Bochkarev.
According to the Deputy Mayor, the high-rise part of the building has 16 floors of monolithic structures, the vertical structures of the walls and columns are ready on the 17th floor level of the 288-metre tower, and the work to implement the inter-floor construction is underway.
“In the low-rise part of the building complex, 7 thousand square metres of roofing has been completed, inner partitions are being arranged, and the utilities are being installed”, added Andrey Bochkarev..
According to Konstantin Maslakov, General Director of MIP-Stroy 1 (part of the Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies), the installation of the monolithic structure is underway in the congress and business centre, in the underground parking and in the high-rise part of the building complex.
“Excavation is 81% complete and 74% of the metalwork has been installed. By the end of the month, the underground parking will be fully completed. In addition, the installation of technical equipment in the low-rise section has started: the first lift has been installed and three more have been handed over for installation. A total of 13 technical lifts will be installed”, said Konstantin Maslakov.
The head of the company also added that the work on utilities installation is scheduled by early summer in the low-rise section of the building complex. Cold supply systems, supply and extract ventilation systems, pipelines and conduits will be installed.
Recall, the total area of the NSC building complex is more than 250 thousand square metres. All the structures of the National Space Centre: the high-rise and low-rise sections, the congress and business centre and the underground parking lot will be linked to each other by a pedestrian passage.
The National Space Center is being created jointly by the Government of Moscow and the State Space Corporation Roscosmos at the instruction of Vladimir Putin, President of Russia. It will become one of the largest space-industry centers in the world, consolidating the leading organisations of the aerospace sector: the central office and situation centre of the State Space Corporation Roscosmos, sectoral research institutes and enterprises, design-engineering bureaus, and other facilities.
