OVERFLY OVER KAVKAZSKY BOULEVARD IS BEING COMPLETED

It will become part of the High-Speed Diameter

“The overfly over Kavkazsky Boulevard, which will be part of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter from Marshal Shestopalov Street to Paveletsky railway line, is 90% complete”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general contractor and general designer of a number of sections of the Moscow High-Speed​​Diameter.

“The installation of the superstructure has been completed, the waterproofing and levelling works are underway. Preparation work is underway to lay the road concrete mix”, said the Deputy Mayor.

According to him, the technical launch of the overfly over Kavkazsky Boulevard is scheduled towards the end of the summer.

“The section of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter from Marshal Shestopalov Street to Paveletsky railway line is 60% complete”, specified the head of Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, recalled that in addition to the overfly over Kavkazsky Boulevard, three more overflies are being constructed on the section of the High-Speed Diameter between Marshal Shestopalov Street and Paveletsky railway line: over Kantemirovskaya Street, the Gorodnya River and Kotlyakovsky Creek.

“All bridge structures are in a high degree of readiness. The first layer of asphalt concrete surface is being laid on the flyovers of the Gorodnya River and Kotlyarovsky Creek. The overfly over Kantemirovskaya Street is being prepared for this work, and the membrane waterproofing of the superstructure has been completed”, said Yuri Kravtsov.

At the beginning of the year, Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, announced about the decision to stitch together the North-East and South-East Chords into a new city highway named the Moscow High-Speed ​​Diameter. The diameter will relieve the major highways of the capital and improve the environmental situation.

“It’s an alternate transport reality. It is to relieve the Moscow Automobile Ring Road, the Third Ring Road, and a huge number of roads that run in the south, east, and north of Moscow and are most heavily congested. It is also an alternate environment: reduction of 20 percent in harmful emissions because there is no overmileage, less traffic jams and so on”, said Sergei Sobyanin.
