On 1 August, on Tverskoy Boulevard, will open a photo exhibition “The Art of Building the Metro #BCL,” timed to the Builder’s Day, dedicated to the creation of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro, said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.
The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is the operator of the Moscow Metro Development Programme and the Photo Exhibition organiser.
“The creation of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro is the principal mega project of modern national metro construction. After the completion of the work, there will be the longest metro circle line in the world, with 31 stations located on an over 70 km span, and after its commissioning, passengers will be able to choose new convenient itineraries and save time when moving around the city. Several thousands of builders were involved in the project, whose labor exploits were portrayed by talented Moscow photographers,” said Yury Kravtsov.
According to him, inhabitants of Moscow and guests of the capital can assess the scale of the BCL project by visiting the exhibition on Tverskoy Boulevard between Tverskaya Street and Sytinsky Lane from 1 to 31 August.
Each of the 32 stands will present one of the BCL stations – on one side, there will be a ready-made platform or its design image with explanations, and on the other side, it will be possible to see how it was created. A separate stand is dedicated to information about the project with general information about the line and the beneficial impact of the Big Circle Line on the environmental condition of the city, as well as about its main creators: architects, designers, engineers, and builders.
Recall, the implementation of the BCL project is in its final stage, two-thirds of the stations of the future ring are already open to passengers, and the work on the remaining is at its final phase.
Over the last 10 years, more than 125 kilometres of metro lines, 61 metro stations and 11 electric depots were built and commissioned in Moscow with participation of Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies.
