It includes six stations
“Preparatory work for construction has been launched in all sections between the prospective Shelepikha and Lipovaya Roscha stations of the prospective Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya Line”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.
“As part of the first stage, we will build a section with a total length of 12.65 kilometres. It will include six stations with working titles: Zvenigorodskaya, Karamyshevskaya, Bulvar Karbysheva, Zhivopisnaya, Strogino, Lipovaya Roscha. Preparatory work is underway at all sections”, specified Andrey Bochkarev.
According to him, the second section with another two stations, Ilyinskaya and Rublyvo-Arkhangelskoye, is being designed in parallel.
“On the first section from Shelepikha to Lipovaya Roscha, we are already entering the main work stage where it is possible not to delay the construction process. Thus, tunneling is already underway between Zvenigorodskaya and Karamyshevskaya stations”, added the Deputy Mayor.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, explained that the tunnel boring machines (TBM) involved here have already covered two-thirds of the planned route.
“The ‘Natalie’ TBM, which is constructing the left-running tunnel between Karamyshevskaya and Zvenigorodskaya, has covered more than 1,250 metres out of 1,750 metres of the planned route, and the ‘Victoria’ TBM, which is tunnelling the adjacent right tunnel, has covered almost 1,100 metres”, specified Yuri Kravtsov.
Recall that the construction of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya Line will connect the rapidly developing area in Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye with the stations of the Big Circle Line. Its commissioning will provide transport services for the new development in Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye and improve accessibility to Mitino, Strogino and Khoroshyovo-Mnyovniki districts.
