SECTION OF MOSCOW HIGH-SPEED DIAMETER BETWEEN SHOSSEINAYA STREET AND POLBINA STREET HAS BEEN LAUNCHED

The commissioning permit for the section of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter (MSD) from Shosseinaya Street to Polbina Street has been issued, according to Mr. Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.

The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a general designer and general contractor for the construction of a number of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter (MSD) sections.

“The new system of high-speed highways is being created in the capital, and the Moscow High-Speed Diameter has an enormous role to play in the future transport framework. The commissioned section of the MSD, from Polbina Street to Shosseinaya Street, will help improve transport accessibility to Pechatniki, Lyublino and Tekstilshchiki districts”, noted Mr. Andrey Bochkarev.

According to the head of the Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction, the section is about 1.7 km long.

“The route has three lanes in each direction. In addition to the main road course, exit ramps have been built to connect the route with the existing street network”, stated Mr. Andrey Bochkarev.

Mr. Igor Voystratenko, Chairman of the Moscow State Construction Supervision Committee, added that as part of the creation of the MSD section, overpasses had been erected to exit and enter the alternate route of Lyublinskaya Street (Pechatniki-Brateevo outbound motorway), which is currently under construction.

“In addition, Shosseinaya Street has been reconstructed at this section: according to the project, a new road section has been built here to connect with the motorway”, added Mr. Igor Voystratenko.

During the final construction stage, sound barriers, road signs and safety road barriers have been installed.

The Moscow High-Speed Diameter will improve transport services for 48 districts with over 5 million citizens.
