SECTION OF MOSCOW HIGH-SPEED DIAMETER FROM GRAYVORONOVSKAYA STREET TO SHOSSEINAYA STREET IS ALMOST TWO-THIRDS COMPLETE

The construction readiness of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter section from Grayvoronovskaya Street to Shosseinaya Street is 65%, according to Mr. Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.

The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a general contractor and general designer of a number of sections of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter.

“On the section from Grayvoronovskaya Street to Shosseinaya Street, five artificial structures are being constructed: the flyover of the main course with a length of about 1.5 km and four exits. On the flyover of the main course the construction of supports and the installation of metal structures of the spans have been completed, the concreting of the roadway slab in the axes of eight supports is in progress”, stated Mr. Andrey Bochkarev.

According to Deputy Mayor, all supports have been erected at all four exits and the installation of reinforced concrete beams and metal structures of the spans has been completed.

Mr. Yuri Kravtsov, CEO, Mosinzhproekt JSC, specified that the lowering of the metal span and preparation for the installation of the roadway slab of the left-turn exit from the MSD in the direction of the Moscow Automobile Ring Road were also in progress.

“We continue the reconstruction and construction of new utilities, including the arrangement of rainwater drainage system and reinforcement of the Nishchenka River collector”, noted Mr. Yuri Kravtsov.

Recall that the MSD section from Grayvoronovskaya Street to Shosseinaya Street, with a total length of more than two kilometres, will connect Nizhegorodskiy and Pechatniki districts, improving the transport situation in the city’s south-east.

Earlier, Mr. Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, inspected the construction progress of the southern MSD section from Grayvoronovskaya Street to Shosseinaya Street.

“We should launch all the sections simultaneously and connect the main MSD course to the southern direction. This will have a great effect on the transport situation in the city”, emphasised Mr. Sergei Sobyanin.
