The depot will be located on the site of a former industrial zone
“Pre-construction work for the first stage of the construction of the Aminyevskoye electric depot of the Moscow Metro is nearing completion”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is the operator of the Moscow Metro Development Program.
“The site preparation phase of the future Aminievskoye electric depot is now nearing completion. More than 90% of the demolition and dismantling of more than 70 existing non-residential buildings and structures, as well as the removal and disposal of construction and demolition waste, have been completed. As soon as this stage of work is complete, the builders will begin erecting new buildings for the depot,” said Andrey Bochkarev.
According to him, the electric depot will be located on the site of a former industrial zone on the west side of General Dorokhov Street at its intersection with Vereyskaya Street, on an area of over 15.7 ha.
“The depot will be designed for the maintenance of the trains of the Big Circle Line (BCL). It is planned to build here more than 40 buildings and structures, including the stabling and repair building with workshops, cleaning chamber for rolling stock and undercarriage equipment, administrative and amenity building with a covered arcade, as well as protective structure of the Civil Defense and Emergency Management Department, complex for washing and dry cleaning of uniforms and other facilities,” specified the Deputy Mayor.
In his turn, Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, explained that excavation work has started at the site and a temporary construction camp is being built for the builders. Up to 1,800 people are expected to work here during the peak period.
“13 m test piles were driven under the retaining walls, the in-situ concreting on two retaining walls near Passage Gate No. 1 and along General Dorokhov Street was completed, test piles 9 and 6 meters long were driven under the stabling and repair building, static and dynamic tests were conducted to verify the physical and mechanical properties of the soil,” stressed the holding head.
He also reminded that tunnelling of the junction path from the transfer chamber located behind the Aminyevskaya station of the BCL to the Aminyevskoye electric depot under construction is currently underway, as well as the guardrails made of bored-secant piles for the two tracks in the depot from the exit chamber of Davydkovo station are constructed. “So, the Aminevskoye electric depot and the Big Circle Line will be linked by the three tracks, which will run both underground and via an elevated overpass,” specified Yuri Kravtsov.
The Big Circle Line is planned to be maintained by three electric depots: the existing Zamoskvoretskoye depot in the south, to which a link line was tunnelled, and the new depots Nizhegorodskoye in the east and Aminyevskoye in the west of the BCL.
