SOBYANIN HAS INSPECTED THE RECONSTRUCTION PROCESS OF THE VARSHAVSKAYA STATION OF THE BIG CIRCLE LINE OF THE MOSCOW METRO

Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, visited the Varshavskaya station of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro and examined the reconstruction progress.

Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a general designer and general contractor to build new lines and stations of the Moscow Metro.

“A great deal of work on the BCL construction is being completed. We are now in the southern section, it is the old Kakhovskaya – Kashirskaya line, which was the shortest and the most unpopular. Its complete reconstruction, in fact, new construction, integration into the BCL is underway”, said Sergei Sobyanin, reports AGN “Moskva”.

The installation of utilities, architectural and finishing work in the passenger area, the construction of the entrance pavilion facades and the landscaping of the adjacent territory are underway at the Varshavskaya station.

The Kashirskaya and Varshavskaya stations of the former Kakhovskaya Line are being reconstructed to integrate them into the BCL. Kakhovskaya has been operating as part of the Big Circle Line since 2021.

The construction of the Big Circle Line is the main project of the Moscow Metro construction. Its length will exceed 70 km, and it will accommodate 31 stations, 22 of which are already servicing the passengers.
