The residents of New Moscow and the Moscow region can immediately change from the suburban train to the metro
“The Aminyevskaya station of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro is linked with the same name platform of the future MCD-4”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.
“As part of the new Aminyevskaya station of the Big Circle Line, a pedestrian underpass to the halt platform of the Kiyevsky suburban railway line has been introduced, which will provide an interchange for passengers on a clean shoe basis,” said Andrey Bochkarev.
According to the Deputy Mayor, with the commissioning of these two stations, residents of New Moscow and the Moscow region can immediately change from the suburban train to the metro before reaching the centre. The platform will be used for trains on the MCD-4 route in the future.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, noted that territory development is being carried out around the new station to make the interchange from one mode of transport to another not only fast but comfortable.
“A total of 40,000 square metres of the area are being worked on. A total of 330 trees and almost 5,000 shrubs will be planted and around 14,000 square metres of lawn will be laid,” Yuri Kravtsov explained.
The Aminyevskaya station of the BCL is located in the Ochakovo-Matveyevskoye District, with exits to residential areas on Bolshaya Ochakovskaya Street and Ochakovskoye Highway. The station is being used for establishing a transport interchange hub (TIH).
The opening of ten stations of the Big Circle Line: Terekhovo, Kuntsevskaya, Davydkovo, Aminyevskaya, Michurinsky Prospekt, Prospect Vernadskogo, Novatorskaya, Vorontsovskaya, Zyuzino, and Kakhovskaya, is the largest one-time launch in the history of the Moscow Metro.
The construction of the Big Circle Line is the flagship project of the Moscow Metro construction. The length of the new circle line will exceed 70 km, and it will accommodate 31 stations, 22 of which are already servicing the passengers.
