The Tekstilshchiki station is 83% complete
“The overall construction readiness of the eastern section of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro is over 70%”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.
“The eastern section of the Big Circle Line with the Pechatniki, Nagatinsky Zaton, Klenovy Bulvar and Tekstilshchiki stations is more than 70% complete. In-situ concreting, installation of utilities and equipment, and finishing of technical premises continue in the stations. Architectural and finishing work is already underway at all four stations in the passenger zones”, informed Andrey Bochkarev.
According to the Deputy Mayor, the highest readiness rate for the section is at the Tekstilshchiki station: the work is 83% complete.
“In-situ concreting is being completed here and the installation of the station’s internal utilities is more than half complete. The granite and marble cladding of concourse 1, platforms and bridge crossings between them is underway”, specified Andrey Bochkarev.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, specified that the Nagatinsky Zaton and Klenovy Bulvar stations are more than two-thirds complete. Utilities are being installed at both stations and the installation of central artistic design elements has begun.
“By the end of the month, mosaic panels depicting the fish of the Moscow region water basins will be installed on the platform section of the Nagatinsky Zaton station, with the floor being lined with granite. The Klenovy Bulvar station contains a suspended ceiling being installed, as part of the finishing of the passenger zone, resembling a dome in its outline, a traditional element of the Russian architecture”, specified Yuri Kravtsov.
According to him, the installation of the main structures and equipment is underway at the Pechatniki station, which is estimated to be 65% complete. The finishing of technical premises and the passenger zone is being implemented.
“Tekstilshchiki, Klenovy Bulvar and Pechatniki are interchange stations. There is active work in the interchange areas”, added the head of the holding.
He recalled that the construction of the eastern BCL section is carried out in difficult hydrogeological conditions, near the water area of the Moskva River. It is 11 km long. Opening of the section will improve the transport accessibility for a number of districts in the south-east of Moscow.
Today, Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, has inspected the construction progress of the Pechatniki station on the Big Circle Line of the Moscow Metro.
“I hope that all major construction work on this section will be completed by the end of this year”, said Sergei Sobyanin.
