The facilities of the first stage of the public space “Attraction” in Magnitogorsk have been opened. These include a central entrance unit with a boulevard, an information center, a food mall, a playground and a roller park.
Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is the operator of Moscow’s key urban planning programmes and is included in the List of backbone organisations of the Russian economy in the construction, housing and utilities sector.
“The specialists of the Group of Companies have proven themselves worth during the creation of key facilities in Moscow. They have accumulated unique experience in the implementation of large-scale projects, which is currently used successfully by them in other regions of Russia”, said Yuri Kravtsov.
According to him, a good example of the holding’s designers entering the All-Russian market is the creation of the public space project “Attraction” in Magnitogorsk, where the first stage facilities have already been opened.
The solemn event was held within the framework of the City Day and the Day of metallurgist in Magnitogorsk with the participation of Valentina Matvienko, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Yakushev, RF Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Ural Federal District, Alexei Teksler, Governor of the Chelyabinsk region, and Viktor Rashnikov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MMK PJSC, which was the customer of the project. The opening ceremony was also attended by a delegation from the Mosinzhproekt Institute, headed by its General Director Rustam Cherkesov. Mosinzhproekt Institute, operating as the general designer of “Attraction,” is the Group’s parent design organization.
“This is the Institute’s first project outside of Moscow. It is a great honor for our company to participate in the creation of such a large-scale project for all of Russia”, emphasized Rustam Cherkesov.
He added that the work on the project has not yet been completed, in particular, the active design of the second stage facilities is underway.
“The related project documents have been partially completed and approved, whereby there will be a scenic hill of 40 metres high with a ski slope and an observation deck, an artificial lake with a footbridge and a beach area, indoor children’s theme park and a gym”, specified the head of the design institute.
He recalled that among the first facilities opened in the “Attraction,” there is a two-storey food mall with an area of about 2 thousand square metres with a theme restaurant and a special gastronomic zone of world cuisines, as well as the information center, which makes a single harmonious ensemble with the boulevard and the central entrance unit, where musical “dry” fountain has been opened.
A large playground for children and an impressively big roller rink where you can enjoy roller skating and skateboarding have been opened. In addition, 23 hectares of parkland were landscaped and planted with turfs, flowerbeds, large trees and shrubs, walking, cycling and jogging paths were arranged.
Recall that the project “Attraction” is created in Magnitogorsk on a request of a private investor, MMK PJSC, which celebrates its 90th anniversary. According to the concept, a landscaped park zone, a sports cluster, water facilities, elements of artificial terrain with a ski slope, a hotel complex and others will be created on an area of 220 hectares.
