The concrete casting of the basement slab of the 47-story tower of the National Space Center has been completed, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the government of Moscow on urban policy and the construction Andrey Bochkarev. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is the general designer and general contractor of the facility.
“The concreting of the base of the NSC tower has been completed. In total, more than 6 thousand cubic meters of concrete have been laid. Assembling work of hydraulic elevating sheeting, which will be used to lay concrete in the core of the high-rise building and slabs. In a month, we plan to do the basic monolithic constructions of the basement of the future tower, which height including the spire will be about 288 meters”, said Andrey Bochkarev.
According to the Deputy Mayor, the monolithic works in the low-rise part of the NSC (up to 10 floors) are at the final stage. Builders have already begun assembling the metal ceilings in the gallery area of the future space center,” added the Head of the Moscow Stroykompleks.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, explained that about 500 tons of steel structures in the NSC gallery zone have been mounted so far.
“Today, more than 900 people are working at the site, nine tower cranes and 26 units of other equipment – truck cranes, loaders, onboard manipulators and other auxiliary equipment,” specified Yuri Kravtsov.
Erection of the National Space Center in Filievskaya Poyma
As a reminder, the NSC is supposed to unite leading organizations of the space-rocket industry, the central office and the situational center of the Roscosmos State Corporation, headquarters of several organizations of the space rocket industry, industry institutes, youth design offices, the business support center, the production diversification center, and other facilities will be located here.
Project for the development of the vacated territory of Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, located on an area of 90,5 hectares in Filevskaya Poyma is foreseen not only the construction of the National Space Center but also the creation of a special economic zone, placement of enterprises of research and production cluster, as well as congress and exhibition center, residential buildings under the renovation program and social facilities.
