THE MAIN STAGE OF THE VLADYKINO ELECTRIC DEPOT RECONSTRUCTION IS BEING COMPLETED

“The main stage of the Vladykino electric depot reconstruction, within the framework of which four facilities are being built, is more than 90% complete”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a general designer and general contractor to build new lines and stations of the Moscow Metro.

“The main stage of the Vladykino electric depot reconstruction includes the construction of nine trenches in the existing stabling and maintenance building, and four new facilities: maintenance personnel building, escalator equipment warehouse, a group of tracks and switchbox”, said Andrey Bochkarev.

According to him, work in the stabling and maintenance building is nearly complete: utilities are being installed, floor finish is underway. In parallel, utilities are being installed in the escalator equipment warehouse, which is more than two-thirds complete.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, explained that in addition to this, a car wash station and treatment facilities, outdoor sewerage and water supply networks are being reconstructed on the territory of the electric depot.

“As part of the fourth stage, a civil defence and emergency management building and a diagnostic post to repair car wheels will be built”, added Yuri Kravtsov.

He also specified that work had begun on landscaping, restoration of the fence and street lighting.

The 14.6-hectare electric depot for maintenance of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Line rolling stock is located in the north of Moscow between the Vladykino and Botanicheskiy Sad stations near the North-Eastern Chord. Its reconstruction will enable to increase the number of employees by 150 people.

“Earlier commissioned garage of the special vehicle fleet to accommodate metro trucks includes a washing complex, a repair area with technological equipment, an office and utility room”, said Yuri Kravtsov.
