The depot will serve trains of the Big Circle Line
“The buildings and structures of the Aminyevskoye electric depot continue to be build. In-situ concreting in the administration and amenity building and signalling control is over 50% complete”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new facilities of the Moscow metro.
“Almost 4 thousand cubic metres of concrete out of 7,5 thousand cubic metres have been poured in the prospective administration and amenity building of the Aminyevskoye electric depot. As part of the signalling control construction, 51% of the concrete volume has been poured and more than half of the metalwork has been installed”, said the Deputy Mayor.
According to him, the in-situ concreting and installation of metal structures also continue in the stabling and repair building.
“Upon completion of all the works, the Aminyevskoye electric depot will serve a rolling stock on the Big Circle Line of the Moscow metro along with the Zamoskvoretskoye and Nizhegorodskoye electric depots”, said the head of the Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, added that in parallel, the foundations are being laid for the stabling and repair building where the trains of the Big Circle Line will be maintained and repaired.
“60% of the piles have been driven, and more than half of the concrete grills, in other words, the top of the pile foundation, are ready. Also, 38% of the monolithic ground slab has been poured and more than 20% of the metalwork has been installed”, said Yuri Kravtsov.
The head of the engineering holding explained that a compressor room is also being constructed at the site and construction of a central heating station, front gate, pumping station and motor depot has begun.
“Construction of the traction step-down substation, from which the depot will be powered, has also begun. More than 400 cubic metres of concrete have been poured”, said Yuri Kravtsov.
Creation of the Big Circle Line is the principal project of the Moscow Metro construction. Its length will exceed 70 km, and it will accommodate 31 stations, 22 of which are already open to passengers.
