The platform floor is laid with grey granite
“Floors are being laid with granite and emmarbling of the pylons has just been started at the platform section of the Maryina Roshcha station on the north-eastern section of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.
“The floor of the platform of the right station tunnel is laid with slabs of grey Mansurov granite, and its laying continues on the platform of the left tunnel and in the middle hall. The steel structures for the pylons to be emmarbled with white Carrara marble of the highest grade are also being installed”, said Andrey Bochkarev.
According to the Deputy Mayor, in-situ concreting on the platform section of the station is fully completed. Also in the right tunnel, the track superstructure has been completed, in the left tunnel, preparations are underway for its construction.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, specified that the construction of technical premises is underway at the station.
“Inner walls and brick partitions are being built in 53 out of the 68 premises, and finishing work has begun. In the remaining premises, bare shell has been completed and the premises have been handed over to install the equipment and utilities”, added Yuri Kravtsov.
The head of the engineering holding recalled that there will be an interchange from the Maryina Roshcha BCL station to the same name station on the Lublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line.
“Floors cladding has been completed in the interchange area and walls finishing is underway. The installation of utilities is underway and the installation of escalators is being completed”, said Yuri Kravtsov.
There will be four 30-metre escalators in operation at the interchange.
Maryina Roshcha is part of the north-eastern section of the Big Circle Line of the metro. It comprises the stations of Sokolniki and Rizhskaya under construction, a connecting line to the Nizhegorodskoye electric depot, as well as the already built Aviamotornaya, Lefortovo, Elektrozavodskaya stations, temporarily operating as part of the Nekrasovskaya metro line.
The construction of the Big Circle Line is the main project of the Moscow Metro construction. Its length will exceed 70 km, and it will accommodate 31 stations, 22 of which are already servicing the passengers.
