The installation of basic structures is completed
“The readiness of the Maryina Roshcha station of the Big Circle Line (BCL) is estimated at 64%”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.
“At Maryina Roshcha of the BCL, the installation of basic structures is completed, a large part of the exterior finishing work of the concourse has been implemented. At the moment, we estimate the readiness of the station at 64%,” said Andrey Bochkarev.
According to him, the architectural finishing of the passenger zone and the installation of internal utility systems in the service rooms are carried out here.
“The construction of a 130-meter inclined tunnel for four escalator lines has been completed,” emphasized Andrey Bochkarev, explaining that the station is located at a depth of 67 meters.
In turn, Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, added that the tunneling work in the underground part of the station complex is 94% complete.
“Also, the bulkheads of the side station tunnels have been complete, the main structures are being installed, and work is underway to open the openings from the right and left station tunnels to the middle tunnel. The installation of the rigid basement and track structure on the link from the Maryina Roshcha towards the Savyolovskaya station is under way,” specified Yuri Kravtsov.
Recall that the Maryina Roshcha station as part of the northeastern section of the Big Circle Line of the Moscow Metro is pylon station with a trough platform, being built along the 3rd Proezd of Maryina Roshcha near the intersection with Sheremetevskaya Street, between the Oktyabrskaya street and 2nd Maryina Roshcha street. The station’s design project was selected as a result of an open international architectural competition.
The Big Circle Line project will be the largest in the history of the Moscow Metro construction. The length of the BCL will be 70 km. It will unite the remote areas of the city and cut travel time in half.
