The tunnels between the Pykhtino and the Rasskazovka stations are 60% complete

“The section of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line under construction to Vnukovo airport is 37% complete”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.

“Monolithic structures of the Pykhtino station are 58% complete, the monolith is being laid at the Vnukovo station where communication network relocation from the construction area is being completed alongside with the beginning of construction of the main structures,” said Andrey Bochkarev.

Deputy Mayor added that the tunnels between the Pykhtino and the Rasskazovka stations are 60% complete.

“The construction of both stations is planned to be completed in 2023,” specified the head of Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, explained that Roza, a six-meter tunnel boring machine, finished tunnelling of 1469 meters of the left running tunnel between Pykhtino and Rasskazovka, and Natalya, a tunnelling machine, finished 1110 meters of the right running tunnel. The distance between the stations under construction is more than 2 km.

“The construction of a metro bridge across the Likova river between the Vnukovo and Pykhtino stations is being completed. A set of works on the installation of metal structures and decorative elements remains to be completed,” said Yuri Kravtsov.

The extension of the yellow line will increase the transport accessibility of the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative districts, and Vnukovo will become the first airport in Russia to have its own metro station.
